Trump’s economic adviser: Resolving complains with China would be a “long process”
Larry Kudlow, US President Trump economic adviser, will travel to Beijing with US Treasury Secretary Mnuchin for talks on trade. The specific date is not yet known. Today he mentioned that resolving US complaints would take a lot of time.
He hopes that the upcoming talks with China represent progress. The visit to China take place amid fears of a “trade war”. Initially the US announced tariffs on Chinese imports and Chinese authorities replicated those measures.
He met yesterday with Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “He loves the tax cut and tax reform," Kudlow said. China is key for Apple, particularly its supply chain.
