Key speakers on the horizon - RBS

Brian Daingerfield, FX Trading Strategist at RBS was looking at the speaker calendar.

Key Quotes:

"Japanese PM Abe will speak in London and four regional FOMC presidents are due to speak as well."

"Fed’s Williams and Lockhart each spoke earlier this week and discussed the potential for a rate rise in June, and each is due to speak again tomorrow. Dallas Fed President Kaplan and St. Louis Fed President Bullard are due to speak as well.

Mr. Bullard’s comments should be watched, as the St. Louis Fed President has recently sounded more concerned about the fall in market-based measures of inflation expectations.

With the Fed’s adjusted 5-year, 5-year forward inflation rate at 1.74%, a new high for 2016, his discussion on this point may prove notable."
